Now · The first days of Dhul Hijjah

The most beloved days for righteous deeds — let them not pass empty.

Say nowIncrease the takbir continuously

Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, lā ilāha illa-Llāh, wa-Llāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, wa-lillāhi l-ḥamd.

Allah is greatest, Allah is greatest, Allah is greatest; there is no god but Allah; and Allah is greatest, Allah is greatest, and to Allah is all praise.

Do now
  • ·Fast as many of these ten days as you can — the Prophet ﷺ said deeds in them are more beloved to Allah than in any other days (Bukhari 969).
  • ·Give charity, however modest — these days carry multiplied reward.
  • ·Read Qur'an. Make extensive du'a.
  • ·If you are a hajji at home or in Makkah pre-Tarwiyah: rest, hydrate, ready your ihram, and revise the order of the rites.

Labbayka Allāhumma labbayk. Labbayka lā sharīka laka labbayk. Inna l-ḥamda wa-n-niʿmata laka wa-l-mulk. Lā sharīka lak.

"Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise, all favor, and all sovereignty are Yours. You have no partner."

Each share is sadaqah jāriyah — ongoing charity that continues as long as guidance is acted upon.
